| | so what's been going on lately? 
nothing much going on here. just the normal stuff. we'd booked most of our wedding vendors, so that's done. whew!  only 7 months to go? eeks! heehee...
i found some new forums to surf, which isn't a good thing, per se, since it fuels more hobbies and purchases. heehee...
work-wise, i'll be hitting my 2 years on mid-late october. not to say that i'm ready to leave, but i think i'm ready to pick up new skills and perhaps try another dept. another dept has already contacted me about a newly created position that should be posted up soon. so i'm supposed to speak with one of the managers in that dept about it. we'll see. *shrugs shoulders* nothing's set in stone, and i have no clue what this other job is supposed to do. i guess i'm just feeling a bit antsy, and that i'm not really being challenged. at my prior job, i actually had more responsibility for less pay. here i have less responsibility for more pay. i'm not complaining, but after almost 2 years, i think it's going to be time to learn something new...i guess we'll see?
personal life-wise, i'm still really enjoying my weekends and wishing i had a 9/80 schedule. heehee...i would love to have every other friday off, like almost everyone i seem to know. =p but i'm just not sure it's feasible based on the industry i'm in...most of our clients work every day...
irv and i have been trying to take advantage of any free weekends we have. heehee...so that has been nice. we don't have any set plans for a vacation, although i'm envious that irv just went to SD, is going to DC and japan this year for work. must be nice.  i'm trying to save most of my vacation time for the wedding and honeymoon. i might take a few days off for the holidays around christmas, and perhaps a long weekend in january to accompany my sister(s) to napa wine country. but nothing super major until the wedding. man, only 7 months left to go. eeks!
i'm really really really excited that my sister is coming home for the long labor day weekend!  so that will be fun to see her and her husband.
